PROJECT OVERVIEW
A new senior living community, fully designed from the ground up.
Alamar Senior Living is a repositioned assisted living and memory care community in Wellington, Florida that underwent a comprehensive interior and exterior refresh following acquisition and rebranding. Austera Group partnered closely with ownership to modernize the campus while maintaining strict budget parameters and minimizing waste.
A key component of the project involved strategically reusing approximately 50% of existing furniture and furnishings, allowing the community to achieve a refreshed, hospitality-driven look while maximizing return on investment. The result is a thoughtfully updated environment delivered on an accelerated timeline and under budget.

Project Goals
Refresh and modernize an existing senior living community following acquisition
Elevate first impressions while preserving functional elements where possible
Improve flow, usability, and visual cohesion across assisted living and memory care spaces
Introduce design enhancements that support resident engagement, wayfinding, and comfort
Deliver improvements efficiently without disrupting operations
Our Method
Austera Group implemented a phased renovation strategy focused on cost efficiency, reuse, and targeted impact. Existing FF&E that remained functional and aligned with the refreshed design vision was preserved and integrated into the final plan, while new furnishings, finishes, lighting, and flooring were selectively introduced to modernize shared spaces.
Interior and exterior enhancements prioritized high-visibility areas such as dining, activity, and memory care neighborhoods, with design decisions guided by durability, flexibility, and ease of reconfiguration. Accent colors, artwork, and lighting were used strategically to brighten interiors, support wayfinding, and reinforce neighborhood identity—achieving a cohesive transformation without unnecessary replacement or overspending.
