Senior Living Development, Design & Capital Strategy
Michelle Clark brings more than 15 years of senior living experience and nearly three decades across healthcare, design, and finance. Her career uniquely bridges development strategy, capital sourcing, and design execution—allowing her to guide projects from early concept through successful delivery.
Previously, Michelle served as Vice President of Domus Development, where she led the firm’s senior housing division. Her responsibilities included site selection, market research, consultant coordination, design oversight, financing strategy, and asset management. In this role, she applied a design-informed approach to create communities that were both operationally sound and responsive to market demand.
Michelle later held the role of Managing Director of Finance at AIIM Capital, where she sourced debt and equity for senior living developments, acquisitions, and refinancing. Her experience includes bridge loans as well as alternative capital solutions such as C-PACE and USDA financing, helping projects move forward in complex funding environments.
Design Leadership & Industry Expertise
Earlier in her career, Michelle worked at REES Associates, a nationally recognized architecture and interior design firm specializing in senior living. As a Registered Interior Designer, she collaborated with owners and operators nationwide on site planning, programming, repositioning efforts, budgeting, FF&E selection, and project implementation.
Education & Credentials
Michelle holds multiple industry credentials, including LEED AP, EDAC (Evidence-Based Design Accreditation), and CHID (Certified Healthcare Interior Designer). She has also taught at the University of Texas College of Architecture, mentoring future designers and advocating for thoughtful, evidence-based approaches to senior living environments.
